|
| Ciao - Italian for hello and good-bye - is the story of a new beginning as explored through the unlikely connection that develops between two strangers as they come together following the death of a friend in common.
When Mark unexpectedly passes away, he leaves behind Jeff, his former lover and best friend. As Mark dutifully sorts through his friend's unfinished business he stumbles onto long-standing e-mail exchanges between Mark and an Italian stranger named Andrea (co-writer Alessandro Calza), who Mark had been chatting with online and arranging to meet in person for the first time.
After Jeff lets Andrea know that Mark has died, Andrea replies. Compelled to keep the communication going, Jeff suggests that Andrea still come to Dallas for the weekend visit as planned.
What follows is a quietly stirring and tender exchange between two men bound by tragedy, who meet, become intimate on an emotional level, and yet, understand that although fleeting, a strong connection has been formed between them - one that will affect and change their lives forever. | The Norway Day Festival is the largest Norway-only festival in the United States, showcasing the best of Norwegian culture, food and music. This year, the festival is set to return to Ft. Mason's Herbst Pavilion in San Francisco.
